When to sow Gomphrena in South Africa

Western Cape and winter-rainfall areas

Sow in spring once the soil is warming and prolonged cold, wet weather has passed. Plant into free-draining soil and water consistently while roots establish. Established plants cope well with dry summer conditions, but young plants should not be allowed to dry out completely.

Highveld and colder inland regions
