Why Grow This Variety
- Large mixed-colour flowers make a cheerful cool-season display.
- The compact size suits pots, low borders, edging and grouped planting.
- Raw seed is practical for sowing larger drifts.
- Light trimming after a flush can encourage more flowers if cool weather remains.
Garden Uses
Use Carnival Mix in a free-draining container, at the front of a cool-season border or as dense edging. Each seedling produces its own colour or pattern, so a small sample may not contain every catalogue colour.
Growing Notes
- Do not follow the current online packet image’s 6 mm depth. Fine Nemesia seed needs only a very light 1–2 mm cover.
- Use clean, fine seedling mix and water from below or with a gentle mist.
- Keep seedlings bright, cool and airy after emergence to prevent stretching and damping-off.
- Water regularly but let surplus drain; sustained heat and waterlogged roots shorten the display.
