Why Grow Zinnia Zesty Orange?
- Vivid orange flowers bring warm, high-energy colour to summer plantings.
- Double blooms create a fuller, more decorative look than simple single-flowered forms.
- Compact height suits borders, mass bedding, containers and patio pots.
- Attracts bees, butterflies and other pollinators.
- Coated seed is easier to handle for neat sowing.
Garden Uses
Use Zinnia Zesty Orange as a bright focal colour in containers, sunny edging, mass bedding or mixed summer borders. It pairs well with yellow, white, purple and red zinnias, as well as marigolds, cosmos and basil in pollinator-friendly plantings.
Growing Notes
- Direct sow into warm, prepared soil where possible, as zinnias dislike rough transplanting.
- In frost-prone regions, start seed under cover and transplant gently once conditions are safe.
- Water deeply, then allow the soil surface to dry slightly between waterings.
- Avoid overhead watering where possible and keep plants well spaced to reduce mildew pressure.
- Deadhead or pick flowers often to keep new buds forming through the warm season.
