Why Grow Poppy Colibri Corallo?
- Warm coral blooms bridge orange, pink and apricot colour palettes.
- Lovely for fresh cut flowers and informal seasonal bunches.
- Adds soft movement and texture to cool-season beds.
- Works well in containers where drainage is good and plants receive plenty of light.
- Attracts pollinators during the cooler months.
Garden Uses
Use Poppy Colibri Corallo in sunny cool-season borders, patio pots and cut-flower rows. The coral colour combines beautifully with white, cream, peach, lavender, blue and deep wine-toned companion flowers.
Growing Notes
- Best grown through the cooler part of the year; flowering quality drops as heat and humidity increase.
- Direct sow where plants are to flower, or transplant very young seedlings with minimal root disturbance.
- Use fertile but free-draining soil and avoid waterlogged beds or pots.
- Water at soil level and keep evenly moist without leaving the soil soggy.
- Pick or deadhead regularly to encourage continued flowering.
