Why Grow Poppy Colibri Ciclamino?
- Reddish-cyclamen tones add depth to cool-season flower schemes.
- Excellent for cut flowers when harvested as buds begin to open.
- Creates a strong focal colour without bulky foliage.
- Attracts pollinators in sunny, well-drained beds.
- Pairs well with white, apricot, orange, lavender and soft pink flowers.
Garden Uses
Plant Poppy Colibri Ciclamino in cutting rows, sunny borders and cottage-style plantings where its deeper colour can stand out. It is especially useful for adding contrast among softer pastel poppies and cool-season annuals.
Growing Notes
- Best grown through the cooler part of the year; flowering quality drops as heat and humidity increase.
- Direct sow where plants are to flower, or transplant very young seedlings with minimal root disturbance.
- Use fertile but free-draining soil and avoid waterlogged beds or pots.
- Water at soil level and keep evenly moist without leaving the soil soggy.
- Pick or deadhead regularly to encourage continued flowering.
