Why Grow Namaqualand Flower Mix?

  • Creates a profusion of colour from winter into spring.
  • Contains a mix of indigenous flowering varieties for a natural South African look.
  • Flower colour changes through the season as different species come into bloom.
  • Useful for larger open patches, verges, meadow-style beds and pollinator spaces.
  • Bulk pack size is suited to broadcast sowing.

Wildflower-Style Uses

Use Namaqualand Flower Mix in sunny, open beds where you want a seasonal wildflower effect rather than a formal bedding layout. It is ideal for naturalistic patches, open garden edges, pollinator strips and South African-inspired flower displays.

Growing Notes

  • Namaqualand-style displays respond strongly to winter rain, cool conditions and bright sun.
  • Prepare a weed-free seedbed before broadcasting.
  • Avoid burying the seed too deeply.
  • Keep the surface lightly moist during establishment, then water gently as needed.
  • Flowering will vary with rainfall, temperature, sun and local soil conditions.
