  • The colour mixture brings varied colour to garden settings.
  • Small, prolific blooms create a spreading display.
  • Plants suit full sun in mild weather and partial shade in hotter conditions.
  • The trailing growth form suits hanging and container displays.

Garden Uses

Use String Of Pearls Mix in borders, edges, containers, hanging baskets or as colourful ground cover.

Growing Notes

  • Sow the fine raw seed very sparingly on pre-moistened seedling mix, press gently and do not cover it.
  • Keep at 21–22°C with bright filtered light and even moisture; water with a fine mist or from below so seed is not displaced.
  • Prick out small manageable clumps once true leaves have developed; lift by a leaf or root ball, not the stem.
  • Give afternoon shade in hot districts, protect from frost and use 25 cm spacing where humidity is high.
