Simply Salad Kale Storm is an all-kale Brassica oleracea mixture supplied as Precision Multi-Pellets. Purple, green and blue leaves suit colourful edible bowls and repeated leaf harvests.

Grow it successfully: Read the exact Kale Grow Guide module.

Quick Grow Facts

  • Mix: All-kale mixture; component cultivar names are not publicly disclosed
  • Seed Form: Precision Multi-Pellet; the 5 and 100 variants count pellets, not individual seeds
  • Pretreatment: None; keep every pellet intact and follow any physical lot warning
  • Sowing: Sow one intact pellet and cover lightly
  • Germination: 2–3 days at 18–21°C under controlled breeder conditions; allow longer where home temperatures fluctuate
  • Light: Cover for germination, then give bright light immediately after emergence
  • Spacing: One cluster in a small pot; distribute clusters evenly in larger bowls and allow about 30–41 cm mature spacing in beds
  • Mature Size: About 30–61 cm high and wide if allowed to mature
  • Harvest: Baby leaves can mature about 14–28 days after transplant; cut roughly 5 cm above the crown for regrowth

Why Grow This Mixture

  • Purple, green and blue leaves create a varied edible display.
  • Several seedlings from one pellet are expected; do not split or crush the pellet.
  • Cutting above the crown supports repeated harvests while growth remains cool and active.
  • The leaves suit salads, smoothies or cooked dishes.

Garden Uses

Grow Kale Storm in a colour bowl or larger garden space. Its module is not interchangeable with single-cultivar Vates or Chou Moullier.

Growing Notes

  • Current breeder materials confirm an all-kale Precision Multi-Pellet but do not disclose the component cultivar names.
  • Sow directly into the final container or transplant the intact cluster without burying the growing points.
  • Keep evenly moist and feed lightly after each cut. Stop repeat cutting if plants bolt, toughen or show disease.
