  • Position: Full sun or light afternoon shade in fierce heat; moist but well-drained, organic-rich soil.
  • Planting: Spring or early autumn; spread roots and place the crown about 2.5 cm below soil level, 25–40 cm apart.
  • Water: Water deeply while establishing and during dry bud formation and flowering.
