• Plant Type: Frost-tender pot-type perennial, commonly grown as a seasonal display.
• Scientific Name: Gerbera jamesonii; PanAmerican Seed Revolution F1 Select Mixture.
• Seed Form: Coated seed. Sow as supplied; coating does not by itself prove a pesticide treatment.
• Freshness: Gerbera seed loses viability quickly. Sow promptly after delivery and keep any short-term remainder sealed, cool and dry.
• Pretreatment: None. Do not soak, scarify or chill.
• Best Sowing Window: Start under protection from late winter into spring, or use the guide's regional window.
• Position: Bright light, morning sun or partial sun; protect from frost and extreme afternoon heat.

• Spacing: 30–36 cm in a bed, or one plant in an 11–13 cm pot.
• Growth Form: Compact upright rosette; the plant body is low and flowering stems often reach roughly 30–40 cm depending on conditions.
• Pinching: None. Remove fading flower stems at the base.
• Flowering: Plan about 18–24 weeks from sowing at home; controlled production can reach 50% flowering sooner.

Growing Notes

• Use fresh, airy, free-draining seedling mix and keep it evenly moist until the root emerges.
• Vent the cover at emergence, then reduce humidity gradually and provide bright light with good airflow.
• After establishment, let the surface begin to dry between waterings while the root zone remains moist.
• Feed lightly once rooted, keep the crown dry and protect finished pots from frost and temperatures above about 29°C.
