Botanical name: Oenothera lindheimeri ‘Sparkle White’, also known botanically as Gaura lindheimeri ‘Sparkle White’.
Seed form: Raw seed. Raw does not establish untreated status; follow your packet’s treatment warnings.
Position: Full sun and freely draining soil; some partial sun is tolerated.
Mature size: Breeder range 30–61 cm tall and 30–51 cm wide. Plants can grow larger in other conditions.
Garden spacing: 30–38 cm according to the breeder; allow extra room for spreading stems and airflow where needed.
Sowing time: Choose a sheltered window suited to your region, maintaining 18–20°C in the seed medium. Protect seedlings from frost and extreme heat.
Depth and germination: Cover lightly with vermiculite at 18–20°C; light is optional during germination. Older detailed breeder guidance gives about 5–6 days under controlled nursery conditions. Home sowings may take longer. No routine soaking, scarification or chilling is specified.

Care for a longer display
