Why Grow Delphinium Belladonna Sky Blue?

  • Sky-blue flower stems are valuable for cut flowers and cottage gardens.
  • Useful for greenhouse, field or garden production.
  • Adds vertical movement without the heavy look of broader bedding annuals.
  • Combines beautifully with white, apricot, lavender and soft pink flowers.
  • Belladonna types are especially useful where a more open, delicate delphinium look is wanted.

Cut Flower & Garden Uses

Grow Delphinium Belladonna Sky Blue in cool-season cutting rows, cottage borders or protected production beds. The soft blue stems are excellent in arrangements and create a calm vertical accent in mixed flower plantings.

Growing Notes

  • Delphiniums prefer rich, humus-rich, well-drained soil and regular moisture.
  • Provide good airflow and avoid waterlogged crowns.
  • Stake flower stems where wind or heavy rain may bend them.
  • Keep roots cool with mulch, but keep mulch away from the crown.
  • Important safety note: delphinium and larkspur are poisonous if eaten by people, pets or livestock.
