  • Position: Full sun; light partial shade is tolerated but flowering is usually strongest in sun.
  • Sow Depth: Sow shallowly and cover lightly with loose soil. Avoid burying Cosmos seed too deeply.
  • Spacing: About 20-30 cm apart for garden displays; allow extra airflow for taller cut-flower rows.

  • Height: Typically 60-120 cm, with taller plants possible in good conditions.
  • Available Pack Sizes: 1 g raw seed, 30 g raw seed

Why Grow Cosmos Pink Picotee?

  • Pink picotee colouring gives beds and bouquets a refined, romantic look.
  • A strong choice for cut flowers, pollinator gardens and informal summer borders.
  • Produces airy stems and fine foliage that soften mixed annual plantings.
  • Low-maintenance once established in well-drained soil.
  • Deadheading or regular picking helps extend the flowering display.

Garden Uses

Plant Cosmos Pink Picotee in groups for a soft drift of colour, or mix it through zinnias, calendula and marigolds for a bright seasonal display. It is especially useful where you want a taller annual that still feels light and natural in the garden.

Growing Notes

  • Direct sow into prepared, well-drained soil and keep evenly moist until seedlings are established.
  • Avoid overly rich feeding; Cosmos can become leafy and soft if pushed too hard.
  • Deadhead or pick flowers regularly to encourage a longer flowering display.
  • Protect young plants from frost and stake taller plants in exposed, windy positions.
