Garden Uses

Grow Flamingo Feather in a sunny cutting garden and use the pink stems in bouquets or vases.

Growing Notes

  • Surface sow and use only a very light cover (no more than 3 mm); the fine seed needs warmth and light.
  • Keep trays evenly moist but not waterlogged and provide bright light immediately after emergence.
  • Transplant after frost risk has passed and use 30 cm garden; 15–23 cm supported cut row spacing for the intended growing system.
  • Support tall cutting rows before wind or heavy rain bends the stems.
  • For cutting, harvest well-coloured stems before flowers become over-mature.
