Growing Notes

• Prepare a fine, firm, weed-free seedbed and spread half the seed in each of two crossing passes.
• Keep the upper surface evenly moist without puddles until broad emergence, then water deeper and less often.
• Delay mowing until seedlings resist a gentle tug. Use a sharp blade and remove no more than one third at a time.
• Expect yellowing or dormancy in frost-prone winters; growth resumes with spring warmth.
