• Repot before strong storage roots distort or crack an undersized container.
• Watch for spider mites, mealybugs, aphids and whitefly, especially in warm protected conditions.

Ornamental and potentially harmful: This is not edible asparagus. Do not eat the shoots, foliage, flowers, black berries or seed. The ASPCA lists Sprengeri asparagus as toxic to dogs, cats and horses; berry ingestion may cause vomiting, abdominal pain or diarrhoea, and repeated skin exposure can cause dermatitis.
