Amaryllis Spellbound – Elegant, Unique & Simply Enchanting 🀍🌸

The beautiful Amaryllis Spellbound certainly lives up to its name. This exquisite variety produces magnificent pure white blooms delicately outlined with a fine pink-red edge, creating an elegant and wonderfully distinctive flower.

Each broad, silky petal is gently traced with colour, while the centre of the bloom fades into a fresh lime-green throat. The combination of crisp white, delicate pink-red edging and vibrant green creates a sophisticated flower that looks almost hand-painted.

With its large, elegant blooms held proudly on strong stems, Spellbound makes a stunning statement in garden beds, patio containers or decorative pots. Its softer colouring also makes it a beautiful companion to richer reds, pinks and other summer-flowering bulbs.

Why you’ll love it 🌿✨

  • 🀍 Elegant white blooms – beautiful, luminous flowers create a fresh and sophisticated display.
  • 🌸 Delicate pink-red edging – each petal is finely outlined, giving the flowers their distinctive Spellbound appearance.
  • πŸ’š Fresh green centre – the lime-green throat provides a gorgeous contrast against the white petals.
  • 🌺 Large, showy flowers – spectacular blooms create an impressive summer display.
  • β˜€οΈ Easy to grow – Amaryllis bulbs reward gardeners with magnificent flowers with relatively little effort.
  • πŸͺ΄ Perfect for pots or the garden – plant in beds, borders or containers where the flowers can be admired up close.

Growing made simple 🌱

Amaryllis are wonderfully rewarding bulbs to grow. With the right position, good drainage and regular watering, they will produce an extraordinary floral display.

  • Planting time: Mid-August – January
  • Position: Full sun or semi-shade
  • Soil: Fertile, well-draining soil
  • Planting depth: Plant with the neck of the bulb above the soil
  • Spacing: Approximately 10 cm apart
  • Watering: Water after planting, then wait approximately 10 days to allow the roots to establish. Thereafter, water every 3–4 days when planted in the ground.
  • Containers: Use a good-quality, well-draining potting mix and ensure the container has excellent drainage.
  • Care cycle: Active growth takes place from September to April, followed by dormancy from May to August.

How it makes you feel 🀍

There is something wonderfully graceful about Spellbound. Its colouring isn't loud or overpowering – instead, those luminous white petals, delicate pink-red outlines and fresh green centre create a flower that invites you to stop and look a little closer.

As the large buds open and reveal their beautifully detailed blooms, Spellbound brings a sense of freshness, elegance and understated luxury to the garden.

Plant several together for a spectacular display of white, or combine Spellbound with deeper red and pink Amaryllis varieties for a striking contrast.
