Water Saving Flower Mix Seeds

This flower seed produces a colourful mix of Alyssum, Poppy, Cornflower and Cosmos flower seeds. Waterwise.

Alyssum is a sweet-smelling flower which has a honey-like fragrance and attracts bees, flower flies, stingless wasps and butterflies to your garden. It is a valuable addition to the vegetable garden and an excellent companion plant for broccoli, Brussel sprouts, cabbage, eggplant, and lettuce.

Poppies love plenty of sun. They love gardeners who pick for the vase – the more you pick them, the more they flower. If you don't pick the blooms it's essential that you deadhead the spent blooms to keep them flowering.

Cornflower is an herb. They produce papery flower heads surrounded by bracts. The flower heads have blue, pink, or white ray flowers that are attractive to butterflies. Cornflowers readily reseed in suitable environments. The dried flowers are used to make medicine. People take cornflower tea to treat fever, constipation, water retention, and chest congestion. They also take it as a tonic, bitter, and liver and gallbladder stimulant.

Cosmos bloom in an assortment of pink, purple and white flowers and remain a familiar roadside attraction in South Africa. Cosmos flowers are associated with simplicity, joy, and beauty. It is also a symbol of order, harmony, and balance.
