- Sow one raw seed per cell without soaking or chilling; lightly cover with about 3 mm of fine mix or vermiculite.
- Keep evenly moist at 18–21°C. Light is optional while the seed is covered; breeder-controlled germination is 3–4 days, but allow up to 14 days in fluctuating home conditions.
- Harden seedlings for 5–7 days, then plant 15 cm apart.
