Why Grow Helichrysum Silvery Rose?

  • Silvery rose tones bring soft colour to fresh and dried flower work.
  • Papery bracts dry beautifully for long-lasting arrangements.
  • Strong choice for cut-flower gardens and cottage-style beds.
  • Adds pollinator-friendly summer colour in sunny positions.
  • Useful for mixed strawflower colour palettes.

Garden Uses

Plant Helichrysum Silvery Rose in cutting rows or sunny mixed borders where the blooms can be harvested regularly. It pairs well with white, sulphur, apricot, coral and deeper pink flowers for dried-flower bunches and soft garden colour.

Growing Notes

  • Start in trays and transplant carefully once seedlings are strong and weather is warm.
  • Bottom water or mist gently so the uncovered seed is not buried.
  • Use well-drained soil and avoid overly wet conditions.
  • Pinch young plants if you want more branching and higher stem production.
  • Harvest when two or three layers of bracts have opened, before the flower is fully mature, especially for drying.
