Why Grow Antirrhinum Potomac Crimson?
- Rich crimson colour creates strong focal points in rows, borders and cut-flower bunches.
- Tall plants are well suited to dedicated cut-flower rows and the back of sunny borders.
- Long stems make these Potomac snapdragons useful for home-grown vase arrangements.
- Warm-temperature tolerance helps the series perform through mild spring and summer conditions.
- Pelleted seed is easier to handle for accurate tray sowing.
Garden Uses
Grow Antirrhinum Potomac Crimson in cutting beds, sunny borders or structured flower rows where its tall rich crimson spikes can be enjoyed in the garden and harvested for arrangements. It works well as a vertical accent behind lower annuals and fillers.
Growing Notes
- Start seed in trays or plugs rather than direct sowing into the garden.
- Keep young seedlings evenly moist, but avoid waterlogged media.
- Transplant in the cool of the day once seedlings are strong and hardened off.
- Support tall stems in windy positions or exposed cut-flower rows.
- Deadhead or pick stems regularly to keep plants productive and tidy.
