About Red Wigglers
Red wigglers, also known as Eisenia foetida, are composting worms used in worm farms and vermicomposting systems. They help break down suitable food scraps into worm castings and worm tea that can be used as a natural garden input.
This 500-worm pack is suited to starting a small worm farm, adding to a new composting setup or topping up an existing worm farm population.
Care After Arrival
Set up bedding before the worms arrive and place the worm farm in a cool, shaded, sheltered area. Start feeding lightly, then increase food gradually as the worms settle and the system becomes active.
Dispatch & Delivery
To reduce time in transit, live-worm orders are packed after website orders are received and may be dispatched on set packing days. Orders placed later in the week may be packed the following week so the worms do not spend unnecessary time in transit over a weekend.
