Why Grow Wild Marjoram?

• Robust spicy leaves suit both fresh use and drying.
• A broad clump provides repeated leafy tip harvests.
• Flowers feed pollinating insects when some stems are left uncut.
• Containers or regular edge-trimming make its spreading growth easy to manage.

Growing Notes

• Sow the dust-fine seed on clean, free-draining mix and do not bury deeper than 1 mm.
• Keep the surface evenly moist, not saturated, and provide bright light and gentle airflow after emergence.
• Pot on at about three pairs of true leaves, harden for seven days and plant after hard frost risk.
• Use full sun, excellent drainage and light feeding. Let established soil begin to dry between deep waterings.
• Trim rooted edge stems or grow in a container if spread is unwanted; deadhead before seed drops where self-sown plants are not wanted.
