Why Grow This Variety
- Uniform blooming supports a coordinated flower display.
- Flowering can be up to six weeks faster from transplant than traditional open-pollinated varieties.
- Tall flower spikes suit landscape planting and cut flower production.
- The variety is also suited to potted plant programmes.
Garden Uses
Use Guardian Blue in tall landscape planting, dedicated cutting rows or pots, and harvest the spikes for floral arrangements.
Growing Notes
- Cover uniformly with coarse vermiculite and maintain 18–21°C; light is optional during germination.
- Keep humidity high only until emergence, then provide bright light and airflow.
- Pot on before plugs become rootbound, harden gradually and plant at the spacing above.
- Water at soil level, feed moderately and install support before stems stretch.
- All parts, including seed and seedlings, are toxic if swallowed. Keep away from children, pets and livestock and seek prompt medical or veterinary advice after suspected ingestion.
