Growing Notes

• Sow one supplied primed seed per cell; do not soak, chill, peel or crush it.
• Cover with about 3 mm of fine medium and hold at 18–21°C with even moisture; light is not required before emergence.
• Move seedlings into bright light and cooler moving air immediately after emergence.
• Transplant when roots hold the plug and several true leaves have formed, then harden off gradually for 7–10 days.
• Space plants 25–30 cm apart and water at soil level; avoid waterlogged crowns, crowding and excess nitrogen.
