Planting: place sound whole tubers chits-up; cover by 10–15 cm

Spacing: 25–35 cm between plants; 60–90 cm between rows

Care: keep evenly moist without waterlogging and earth up as shoots reach about 15–25 cm

Harvest: lift young tubers early or wait for the plants to die back and skins to set for a mature crop
