Turnip Early Purple Top Seeds

R 27.50

Turnips are best known as a tasty addition to our winter soups, but they can also be roasted, boiled and mashed. The young turnip leaves are sweet and can be added to salads.
Harvest turnips when they are still small and young (size of a radish) to eat raw - finely chopped into salads and coleslaws. For mature turnips, wait until they are about the size of tennis balls.

Companion plants include lettuce, peas, rocket and catnip.

Smooth, white skin with a bright purple top and crisp cream coloured flesh.
