The humble onion, used in abundance in most kitchens, an ingredient in countless dishes. Onions take a long time to grow and mature (200 days) so be sure to choose their spot carefully in your veggie garden as they'll be there for awhile.
Texas Grano is a short-day cultivar and suited to a South African climate and number of daylight hours we get on average.

Good companion plants are beetroot, carrots, leeks, lettuce and tomatoes.
