Planting your Potatoes: It's Easy Peasy! π₯π±
- Fill the Potato Grow Bag with about 20cm of your chosen growing medium.
- Spread out 3 β 4 seed potatoes on top.
- Cover with another 10cm of growing medium.
- As your potatoes grow, sift 10cm of fresh potting soil, hay or bark around the plants.
- Keep on doing this weekly until the bag is nearly filled, watering regularly.
- Your potatoes are ready to harvest when the plant yellows or flowers, typically in 3-4 months.
Please Note: Seed potatoes are for planting, not eating. When you receive your seed potatoes, you'll see they're quite soft and have some chitting (sprouts) on them. Position the chits right side up when planting. The rest of the tuber should be facing down into the soil. We recommend planting your seed potatoes as soon as possible, as they have been pre-sprouted (chitted) to encourage fast growth.
